Oncotarget Sponsoring Bioscientists to Attend the FCS Conference in Singapore

Oncotarget became popular several years ago for its regular publication of studies relates t cancer. The online medical journal made its first publication in 2010, and since then it has become the most extensive medical journal in the world. It is both peer-reviewed and open-access.

Written in English, Oncotarget is a part of Impact Journals. The editors in chief are scientists and doctors Mr. Mikhail Bagosklonny and his colleague Mr. Andrei V. Gudkov. The two have been in their positions for several years ago and have made a number of improvements to Oncotarget. Both Mr. Mikhail Blagosklonny and Mr. Andrei Gudkov are of the Roswell Park Cancer Institut. The former does oncology as well as aging while the latter does oncology and cardiology. Even though the main subject of the online medical journal is oncology, there are other fields that Oncoarget publishes studies bout. Those include Immunology, Pathology, Aging Chromosomes, and a handful of other areas. The online medical journal has been looking to expand its scope in order to use its reach to spread more scientific knowledge and ai in the vital spreading of ideas between scientific fields.

Oncotarget values the communication between scientists and medical doctors and believes that bringing them together will help make steady progress in the fight against cancer. For that reason, the online medical journal presented four biomedical researchers with travel grants in order to enable them to visit Singapore and attend the conference there called Frontiers in Cancer Science 2017. It took place from the 6th of November to the 8th, and it was attended by hundreds of scientists and medical doctors. Many of them presented their latest topics of research as well as their results. Some presented the progress they had made in their current studies and offered direction and solutions to issues.

The biomedical scientists that attended thank to Oncotarget were from the Italian Universty of Torino, The Indian National Institute of Immunology, and the Aligarh Muslim University.
